Christmas in July!!

Here is the challenge today for Party Time Tuesday.

Be sure to see the rules and link up on the main blog.

Want a unique way to store your Christmas cards?

This is a repurposed cereal box.  That's right-I bet you would have never guessed!

You simply cut your box one half taller than the other. Cover it in paper and embellish as you like.
Here's a close up of the flowers I stamped and fussy cut.  Added to front with dimensionals.
Putting scripture always brings me a smile.  Keeping this on the kitchen table to stick my cards in is a wonderful way to look thru them anytime I like.

Great Outdoors with Blue Fern Studio

I haven't done a scrapbook page in several weeks!  My pictures are backing up!
The July sketch from Blue Fern Studio's was beckoning me!!
using a sturdy piece of designer paper so I could ink and spray with water was the first place I started.  I tore pieces of cardstock to match my granddaughter's outfit for the layering pieces.  Edged them with gesso to tone down the brightness.  The pink flowers were made using a piece of leftover sprayed cardstock.  The pink blended well with the pics.  I also stenciled some little flowers before applying the blue distress ink -they show thru beautifully.

The tree branch at the top was inspired by Gabriella.  Mine is not as dainty as hers. I made mine with the twist paper that was popular years ago. Rubbed some brown distress ink on top.

The Blue Fern items I used is the Great Outdoors title, the bunny rabbit and the single white flower on a stem.  All 3 were dabbed with Rangers white distress paint.  Did 3 coats.  Wanted them to stand out.

My masterpiece is now hanging in my Art Studio. I like to look at them when I finish before tucking them away in an album!

I'm entering Blue Fern's challenge found -HERE
If you've never used their chipboard-you should!  Very intricate designs.  I have bought several sets and the quality is superb!

Happy Friday everyone!!

2014-2015 Teachers Planner

I handcrafted this brilliant 2014-2015 Teacher Planner book!
It's fabulous!
I added everything I would want if I were a teacher.
Finished size is 7 1/2 x 7 1/2.

Encouraging scripture
Monthly calendar with space for notes and a pocket on the bottom of each one.  There is a huge 7x7 pocket on the side of each one!

This page below features Stencil by Retta.  She has cutter files and stencils in her Etsy store ~ Royal Insperations by Retta.
I embossed the girl in white on a piece of the designer paper.  She showed up great!  In between the booklets (there are 3 that I've hinged together) I have added spots for the teacher to add a picture.  The side of the frame is open and they can slide out the tabbed mat and add their picture.

Below is the last page-I LOVE this paper line. It has great colors and the designs are fresh and modern.

Freedom to be YOU!

I've been busily making mini albums and wanted a break.
Wanted to do something carefree and colorful!
Ran across a blog that had a challenge that played a music video.
The song was about being free to be you.

The lady I drew is carefree and being free.
The background started with a piece of water color paper.
I cut some circle out of a file folder and then used it as a stencil to apply gesso in random areas.
Then I added my inks. All Ranger inks-spritzing water as I went to blend them.  The areas where the gesso is remain lighter-I love it!
I then sketched in the lady and colored her with pencils.
Printed my statement and added it with gel medium. Outlined the words.
Done!
FREE TO BE ME!

Home of the Brave!

Did you get here from Party Time Tuesdays??

We have DAILY inspiration from some wonderful designers.

Remember the stars I used earlier this month on the American Flag Fan I made?  I cut the sheet up and used it to create cards!  None of the paper went to waste!

I love the rhinestones that added some added bling to each card!
I used some of the letter stickers I had.

We're so blessed to live in a country where we are free to worship and live the way we want.  I'm thankful we don't have to hide to worship God.  I hope and pray you are having a TERRIFIC July!

Heartfelt Creations Mini Album

Hi!  I hope your having a great week!
Do you love Heartfelt Creations Designer Paper like I do?
I love making this file folder mini albums.  So I decided to combine them!
Below I fussy cut a column with the roses and added to the corner to be able to slide pictures underneath.

I don't do a lot of embellishing since the 4x6 photos will take up most of the space.

I really liked the brown diecut edge with the beautiful lace over top to bind the end.

HERE'S AVIDEO OF OTHER FILE FOLDER MINI ALBUMS I'VE DONE.

PTT Chipboard Challenge

Today at Party Time Tuesday our challenge is to use chipboard.

I've used several die cut items: the doily, flowers, leaves & butterfly.

The pink triangle pieces and the blue flower spring on the right are chipboard pieces.
The triangle banners I coated in white gesso and then "painted" it using Tim Holtz persimmon distress stain.

To bring a little life to the piece, I did some doodling with a black pitt pen
These are pictures of my granddaughter during Memorial Day holiday  We went to Fairystone Park and played on the playground and in the water.

You'll find DAILY inspiration at Party Time Tuesday.  Join us for challenges!

Be still and know that I am God!

Happy Saturday!

I'm busy making thank you cards for my Relay Team Captains.  There are 32!
I always can get some inspiration over at Word Art Wednesday.
This week Challenge #139 is Anything Goes!!

You will be amazed to find out the scripture on my card below is FREE!  Every week
Word Art Wednesday gives you a new scripture that you can choose to use.
The designer is Karen Murray.  You can find her blog HERE.

They have some awesome designers that share their creations every week.  They also give away prizes weekly!!  So check them out!

After printing the scripture 4x6 size, I simply stamped a flower in 3 different color distress inks randomly around the page.  Easy!!  With beautiful results.  Once you save the scripture to your computer-you can print whatever size you need.  See on the left side-those are 3x5.
Thanks for stopping by!  Have a terrific weekend!

Flower stamp: Stampin Up -Reason to Smile
Distress Inks: Ranger: Rusty Hinge, Victorian velvet, Mustard Seed.

American Flag inspired Fan

Did you see this sneak peek?

it was part of the fan I made below!
I used 140lb watercolor paper. I knew it would hold up with someone fanning with it a lot!
I cut the starts out with my Cricut.
The first layer of paint was acrylics.  I came back with gelato's and did shadows.  I used a white gel pen for the stitching.
The handle is a paint stick!

I love how it turned out!

Winnie The Pooh canvas

Here's a canvas I did for a friend's wife.  She loves Winnie the Pooh.
It turned out really cute!

I drew and colored Winnie the Pooh on separate paper.  Painted the background and then glued my pooh on.  Added the butterflies.  CUTE!
