Christmas Gag Gift.-Bathroom Plunger remodeled!!

Every year our family plays a dirty Santa game.  We have to spend $10.  This year my husband had this great idea when he ran across a plunger at the Dollar Tree store.
He asked if I could decorate it and we'd tape $10 underneath it.

I had picked up some pine cones in the yard several weeks ago and put them in the oven to kill the bugs.  The sap was still running and very sticky!
I knew what I wanted to try.

I had Donnie cut some of the handle down.  He rounded the top edge.

I had cut a whole page of diamonds with my cricut cartridge. I used the background on another project.  I had 120 triangles left over!
I spritzed them with these liquid pearls.  They were really light, but gives a definite glimmer and shine.

I spray painted the bottom of the plunger in gold.  I painted the handle with Tim Holtz vintage photo distress paint.
I hot glued the diamonds with a small piece of vintage lace-each one all over each pine cone.  Was a little time consuming, but so worth it!  I used hot glue to glue them to the pine cone petals.
I wrapped some gold wire (I had gotten it from dollar store a long time ago) The little mouse was in my stash as well as the gold wire ribbon.  I made me a bow easy with stiff cardboard so I could make a bigger bow and spread the layers.
Here's a shot of the rear.  I had this greenery that I went around it with  I think it turned out pretty cute!  I put the money in a small envelope and taped it under the plunger!! LOL  Pretty cute gag gift huh?
