Can you say Distress Ink??

I have spent the whole afternoon in my craft studio.  I've designed & covered 3 journals and made 4 Christmas cards.  I haven't taken pics of everything, but here's the journals.

I used a technique altering a piece of designer paper.  I layered stamped images using distress ink.  I really liked the finished project.  Looks so much better in person than in this photo.

Faith Walk Journal
I love vintage and I've been wanting to use this lace for some time. I found a pack of vintage buttons @ Joann's Fabrics. Snipped the back off this one & glued in the middle of the layered lace.  I distressed white punch out letters and glued to this page that was taken out of a french dictionary.  The background paper is from Tim Holtz.

Faith Mini Journal
This was really fun to design. I LOVE this stamp from SU. Have wanting to use a mini clothes pin & had the opportunity on this. I distressed the ckipboard first then made the cover.  Didn't want to cover up all the chipboard because I love distressing!

PPA116, PSC03 Get Well Wishes

Wanted to enter 3 challenges with one card. I just received my new stamps from Lili of the Valley. They are so adorable! I don't have copic markers yet, so I colored my sweet gal with SU colored pencils & used a blender marker. I think she turned out sweet!

The first challenge is Pals Paper Arts. I used their sketch which involved square layers.

The 2nd challenge was Perfect Sentiments. Their challenge was Get Well wishes and use embossing.  I embossed my sentiment with SU silver embossing powder.  Hard to see it on the first picture, but the 2nd picture shows it clearly.

The 3rd challenge was Lili of the Valley.  We played bingo and were able to choose 3 techniques from their bingo grid.  I chose Embossing, ribbon & paper piercing.

It was alot of fun combing the challenges.  I layered the purple ribbon on the cream one so it would show up better.  Learned how to tie a bow from UTube-Dawn dostampin.

Wallett MIni Album

These are SO CUTE! I found a tutorial on a stampin up demonstrator site. I just love it!

The wallet has a belly band surrounding it to hold it shut.  Inside are these photos sheets held together with brads.  Holds 8 photos (front & back of photo sheet)  The wallet has room for more.

Paper Bag Mini Albums

It's hard to tell how great this technique looks.  But the paper bag mini stores 16-20 photos and has room for journaling. Will be FOR SALE @ the Bassett Band Booster Craft Show 11/19/11-11/20/11.

Perfect Sentiments Challenge #02

Challenge: create a card that reflects a sentiment of friendship
Twist: The above beautiful colors

Here's my inspired card. I love it!  I used my cricut to cut the same flower pattern from brown & turquoise & then swapped them.  Layered in beige & added the faux stitching.
